Jerry and Cheryl Behler Wallace

Cheryl and Jerry met in 1968 and were married on August 30, 1969 while we were attending the University of Idaho, and now
have three children: Keith (36), Brian (33) and Angie (31). We left Moscow for a brief time to work in Spokane and then returned to Moscow where we each worked for the University for about 30 years (Cheryl is still working there for a little bit longer). We have lived in our current Moscow home for the past 31 years, and also have our "urban cabin", a home in southeast Boise where we spend a little time every month close to our Boise based children, business partners and friends, and all of those "urban" things that us ole farm kids seldom experienced. Cheryl grew up on a farm on the Camas Prairie, Lewis County and Jerry grew up on a farm in Paradise Valley, Boundary County.

We have enjoyed opportunities to travel over the years and have visited 44 states and eight countries (so far). And, we have a travel trailer which is still our favorite mode of escape from the day-to-day realities. We still truly appreciate Idaho and the northwest and continue to explore and enjoy the great privilege of living in the northwest and close to family. We do have fond memories of our visits elsewhere and often reflect on those "special moments" that we have experienced with family and friends, and the occasional strangers during our travels.

For any of those that remember my wide array of childhood sketches of companies bearing the "Ace" company name; Cheryl and I and five of our close friends from Boise and Moscow areas have actually formed a development company, but the name is IdaBuild, not Ace. It has evolved as a great way to blend the various interests we have, provide reason to frequently spend time together, and to enjoy the very fulfilling experience of building things together. We have continued to pray for guidance and here we are, old geezers feeling like kids in a sandbox. What joy!

Our son Keith, a computer applications engineer, married Maureen Van Horn, a physical therapist, in 2002 and they have our only grandchild (so far), a daughter Sarah Joelle, and they work in Bozeman and live in Belgrade, MT. Our son Brian, an archeologist, and daughter Angie, an information systems specialist, both work and live in Boise within a couple of miles of our "urban cabin".

We've been blessed in our faith and with great family, good health, fun opportunties, and joyful anticipation of our next phase(s) of life. And, we're looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

We renewed our Vows in 2003. We have been together 39 years. We share interests in hunting, fishing, high school sports, in general -- The great outdoors.

Greetings from Randy Eddy

This is Randy Eddy saying hi after all these years. The big 60 is sneaking up on our class. It is hard to believe. Life is like a mist; appears for a little while and is gone. Howver, how much fun it has been. Still not sure I will be able to make the reunion.....
A year after graduation I moved to Shelton, WA where I met my present wife, Karen. We were married there in 1971 and moved to Sandpoint in 1976 with our son and daughter. We lived there 20 years and then moved to Warrenton, OR. where we live now. We love it here on the Oregon coast. Karen and I have three grandsons. I have another grandson, two grandaughters, and a great-grandaughter from my daughter with Diane. I have worked as a sawfiler since 1971 and have enjoyed the work and the challenge. I never got rich except the treasure I have found in my wife and children. However, we have enjoyed these years together. We have played in the sands of the Caribbean beaches; stood in awe at the edge of the Grand Canyon and Crater Lake; watched the sunset in Key West; watched the leaves turn color in the New England states; stood next to a lava flow in Hawaii; and was scared to death in New York City. Standing outside of the United Nations Building, made me reflect on the failure of this organization to bring peace to our beautiful home.
All these and many more memories have made me appreciate this life we have been given. Reflecting on these last 40 years also brought to mind those who never came home, and those lost in accidents, and to illness. We need to live for them and treasure the time we have to be with our families and to enjoy the times that were stolen from those who lost this treasure of life.
To the class of 1967 we wish a happy life full of joy.

Hi BFHS Class of 67

This is Lory Curtis, and I live in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Some of you may not remember me since I only attended Bonner's Ferry High in my senior year. It is amazing how that one year changed my life forever. I have always been very proud to be a BFHS Badgre! After graduation I served in the Marine Corps for 10 years, got married, got out of the Marines, and became an auto mechanics high school teacher. My wife Chris and I have 5 children (4 boys, 1 girl), and how have 9 grandchildren (5 grandsons, 4 granddaughters). Most of them live outside of Utah so we are empty nesters now. Leaving active duty in 1973, I couldn't get the military out of my blood so I joined the Army National Guard/Army Reserve where I was trained as a helicopter pilot. After years of living a dual life of teacher and citizen soldier I returned to active duty, where I had the time of my life flying helicopters. In 1994, I retired from the Army with 27 years. Not letting any grass grow under my feet I returned to school and got a doctorate in Education Leadership at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I have been a High School Principal for the past 14 years. I've got four years to go and I can retire once again for the last time. Some of you may remember I played the Bass Guitar in a rock n roll bank in Bonners Ferry called "The Other Ones" with Harry Mayo, Jim Mace, Paul Ugstad, and Kim Jenkins. Well, I am still playing in classic rock n roll bands today. It is great fun. Best wishes to everyone of the Class of 1967. I attended the 20 year reunion, and hope to be able to attend the 40th reunion.

Hello from Dennis Hiatt

Hi!! Dennis Hiatt here. Glad to hear that there is going to be a 40th class reunion.

Sharon and I attended the 35th reunion and are looking forward to the 4oth. Sharon and I have been married for 15 years. We have 3 boys between us, Mason 36 and Mike 34 are mine and Jeremy 32 is Sharon's. Mason is an engineer living in Spokane, about 10 minutes away, he is married and has gifted us with 2 wonderful grandchildren. Mike is a dock worker in Anchorage, Alaska, he is unmarried and we don't get to see much of him. Jeremy is an attorney living in St. Louis, MO, he gets home to visit 2-3 times a year.

We have enjoyed a good life and have spent most of our free time camping and ATVing. That is except for the last 2 years, since we took on building our new house. The house has pretty much taken all our time. This year we decided the house is far enough along that we can start living again. We still have a lot of projects, but they are not that pressing. We are quite excited about coming to Bonners Ferry again. I don't think we have visited since the last reunion. We are hoping to stay at Blue Lake again this reunion. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. See you soon !!

Greeting From Marilyn (Daniels) Pruitt

Hi everyone!! I'm on the reunion committee and hoping we'll have a big turn out. It would be great to see some of you who haven't made it to the other ones. I'm looking forward to visiting with those of you who did make it. It always leaves me with a good feeling to touch bases with old friends.
After graduation I moved to Seattle for 6 months and worked for Household Finance Corp. Got really homesick for Larry and moved to Spokane and worked a year for a bank. Larry and I got married on the 29th of March, 1969 and lived in Alabama till he was discharged from the Army in April, 1971. We were so happy to move back home to Boundary Co. and buy the farm from Larry's Mom. We raised our 3 children here: Lori, Mike and Dan. Now we have 8 grandchildren. Mike and Dan both have houses here on the farm. Lori, her husband Chris and their 4 boys live in Ft. Sam Houston, TX. He is a Combat Medic training the young ones there. I just got home from spending a month with them. It's so nice to be spoiled by her.
Larry was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer in Oct. 1993 and lived for ten years before he died on Dec. 4, 2003. My life will never be quite right again.... We were married for almost 35 years.
I was a school cook for 18 years. Starting at Mt. Hall then moving to Evergreen and then to Valley View. I loved working around the little ones. I had to retire early because of Fibromyalgia and Arthritis, but keep busy helping with the farm and the grandkids. Mike has taken over the farm but I get to be here for him. I have to say that my life has been very good.....

Greetings from Judy (Poston) Nichols

Judy (Jude) says hello to everyone who gets on the blog !! She lives in Clarkston, Washington and continues to run her own business - and in her words is "now the older hairdresser ! I didn't think we could age, we would always be the same, not true... time has caught up".

Judy has one child - a daughter - Jennifer R. Nichols, 34. Two grandchildren - Tanya Kellie Nichols age 15 (she is a sophmore in high school, an honor student and lives with Judy) and Justin T. Nolte age 12 (he is in the sixth grade, an honor student and lives with his Dad). Judy is a very proud grandparent!!!

Judy is single - has been single since she divorced Vern Nichols years ago. As Judy says, "I don't mind being single a bit. Once in a great while I think I wouldn't mind having someone around, but it fades fast. Ha-Ha".

Judy's hobbies include reading, camping, arts and crafts, movies, music, grandkids, etc. She loves to celebrate holidays and be with friends and family. She keeps in touch with Marlene Langford and Judy Lesmeister - in fact.... these girls are planning a nice long visit around April 16 at the Casino by Worley!!
